Hello Sem,
I am an American and I am moving to Cebu in September. My fiancee lives there so I will be living there too. I really want to learn the language and I was wondering if you can give me some information on classes? That would be really great. Thanks.
Justin, I will pass on your question to Sem when I resume lessons later this week. I have stopped for almost three weeks because I went away.
The notes I am posting are from lessons i had a few months ago already so I have plenty of material.
Hello,
I am curious if you got back to Justin about Visaya classes in America. I live in Los Angeles and spoke with the head of Southeast Asian studies at UCLA, she said that the only school that offers classes in the U.S is the University of Hawaii. This is inspired me to find out if she’s really right! I am a native English speaker trying to learn the language. Thank you for your time!
i am a native cebuano linguist and have just completed creating both reading and listening tests for a private company and a university language department. i can teach you how to speak cebuano rhea
You have some really great lessons here.
I might make one suggestion. the written word does not allow for people learning, to learn the pronunciations. it may be better if you could do this as a pod cast, so that we can all learn from your spoken words. it would be quite helpful i think for everyone .
I believe the spoken word is always much better than just reading something as reading lacks the ability to understand the way things should be pronounced.
